Why I Chose Chiropractic
As a young man, hockey in the winter and baseball or soccer in the summer were my intense passions. Aggressive hard hitting play was my norm, and by the mid 1970’s I was regularly seeing a Chiropractor. My Chiropractor, at the time, exemplified a belief in health and wellness that even to my young mind seemed superior to the common beliefs of the day: taking care of the body’s structure thereby allowing proper healing to occur.
As my school years progressed I became more and more interested in a career as a chiropractor, and took steps to making that a reality in my life. Since graduating, my interest and confidence in chiropractic has only increased.
I have had the privilege of seeing, first hand, people take responsibility for their own health, minimize their reliance on drugs, and see remarkable recovery of their symptoms along with a new level of wellness they had thought forever lost.”
Chiropractic Education
I was educated at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. During my four years at CMCC, courses reflected a major emphasis on anatomy, neurology, human physiology, x-ray, diagnosis and symptomatology, nutrition, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the CMCC Outpatient Clinic. It’s often said that you appreciate your schooling more after it’s over. That can certainly be said of me.
Of particular interest to me has become an understanding of the relationship between the structure of the spine and the function of the human body. To this end I am in the process of becoming certified in Chiropractic Biophysics. It is becoming very evident, in the science, that a perfect connection between the brain and the body through the spinal cord is essential for good health. This knowledge makes me constantly aware of the need to express the importance of regular chiropractic care to my patients.

Away from Herron Family Chiropractic
I am married to Debra and we have three beautiful children who keep us very busy outside of Herron Family Chiropractic. One of our children, Dr. Amy Herron, is also a chiropractor and works with me at our practice. As a family we are committed to living a healthy lifestyle in which we eat right and exercise daily. My family and I are very active with our church and much of our free time is spent involved in different programs. My wife and I help to lead a youth group and I teach adult Sunday school. I am also involved with a group called Warrior Coaching. This leadership training and life coaching program is designed to help Doctors of Chiropractic achieve success in all areas of our lives.
Chiropractic is the Cornerstone
Regular chiropractic care has always been the cornerstone of my family’s health. Our three kids Amy, Jacob and Karissa were checked immediately following birth to insure normal spinal function. A healthy, albeit not perfect, lifestyle of good nutrition and exercise is included in our family’s health regimen.
